Carol Mason's Stories from the Parade on Saturday

Lost Little Girl 6 yrs. old

I pray I did not lose an opportunity with the Mom of the little girl who went missing. We followed the police officer over to the area where the little girl was now reunited with her family. Her Mom, Christina, was very grateful, and I thought this might be a divine appointment to share with her. However, her phone rang several times and she spoke briefly with concerned friends and family. I started to share with the group they were with and they all assured me they were born again and asked that I wait and talk with Christina.

Christina quickly made it extremely clear that she knew it all, had heard it all, and she was "done" with God! Having breathed a prayer for wisdom, I asked her what had happened and noted concern that God gets blamed for human's mistakes. She began to really cry. We talked for several minutes as we have much in common even though I'm old enough to be her mom. She took my phone number and added it to her cell and promised me that she would call me. Please pray, Karl, that she does.

More Adventures sharing Christ

I chatted with a young woman, Sheila, whose husband died last year so she is a single Mom of teens. This woman truly listened to everything I shared and took the "Good Enough" tract home and promised she would read through it. Her teens heard much of the discussion also.

Another young woman was waiting for a ride and talked with us. She assured me she is a saved "baptist". She was very open to the question about the thief on the cross, why would we need more than Christ's death on the cross, and also agreed to read the "Good Enough" pamphlet.

I could go on. It was an incredible time. I'm humbled because I need to be more ready, more loving, and more straight forward with the Gospel: more of Him and less of me.

Please pray that Wes and I obey God.

Preaching the Gospel in Prescott (Court House Lighting & Christmas Parade

What a Great Turn Out!

I was so blessed yesterday by all who came out to give their Saturday to the Lord in witnessing for Christ Jesus.

Altogether our group numbered 27 saints. Thank you to Kristen, Matthew, Mariah, Renee, Lee, Timothy, Brandon, Michayla, Dave, Deanna, Logan, Liam, Bill, Dani, Natalie, Nick, Kiah, Isaac, Martha, Carol, Wes, Ronny. (pictured)

Also (not pictured) were Michael, Daniel, Daniel's Dad, and Carolyn.
What a great group. Your enthusiasm for the Lord truly blessed me.
We had folks from Black Canyon City, Dewey, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Surprise, Camp Verde, and 2 traveling evangelist families from Oregon. God brought us all together for one purpose this weekend. To proclaim His holiness and His salvation. Praise God for His sovereign hand. The traveling families are the James and Chafees. We were so blessed to have them join us and would encourage you to invite them to come and hit the streets where you live. You can find them "Agents for Christ" at www.agentsforchrist.org

My son Isaac handing out Million Dollar Bills before the parade started.

Isaac has a great boldness from God, and doesn't let fear hold him back from being obedient to the Lord.

This precious lady was Josephine. She is in her 80's and grew up in a Catholic home. We spent 20-30 minutes talking as I explained the Law of God and her need to recognize and repent of her sin.

For the most part, people were very friendly and gracious to allow us to engage them in conversation. We had many great opportunities to share the Gospel one on one and handed out over 1000 tracts during the course of the day.

If any of you that were there have additional pictures and stories of your encounters, please e-mail me, and I'll post them here on the blog.

Thank you to our Savior, Jesus!

Here are some other faces from the day and evening of preaching Christ in Prescott. Thank you Jesus for allowing us to have the privilege of being your ambassadors.

After a few hours on the streets and some great encounters, it was time for some food. We enjoyed sharing our stories and encouraging one another in the Lord before some of us headed back for the 6pm lighting and some more awesome opportunities.

Here are a few pictures of the faces and events after dark. What an awesome day. All glory goes to our great God and Savior. May He cause the increase.

This boy like many folks on the street was so excited at his "gift".

Isaac, Natalie & Kiah... the teen tracting team. Well, almost. Isaac and Natalie are both 12. Guess I shouldn't try and rush them, huh.

This group of 14 year olds (pictured above)were buzzing on Starbucks and were pretty distracted, but once we began discussing eternity, even phone calls from friends took a back seat, as they scolded their friend for answering the phone and told her, "hey, this is really important." May God bring the reality of the Truth to their young hearts.

The lights were beautiful, but not as beautiful as the faces of the people touched by the Gospel, and the faces belonging to the beautiful feet of those who were obedient to bring the good news. God is so faithful. Amen?!

Christmas Courthouse Lighting Planning

For anyone wanting to join us for an evangelism outreach opportunity, we will be meeting at the Starbuck's on Sheldon St. in Prescott this Saturday Dec. 6th at 12 noon.

We will head from there to the parade route by the square. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1pm. Please bring plenty of tracts as there will be thousands of people lining the streets for the parade.

We will play it by ear, but we will most likely be staying until 6pm for the Court House Lighting.

We are looking forward to a great time of watching God's Word and Gospel go forth.

If you can't make it, please commit to pray for us as we boldly proclaim Christ in a world that is increasingly anti-christ.

Thanks Saints!

Way of the Master Crash Course Resourses

If you aren't familiar with the Way of the Master or Ray Comfort or Kirk Cameron, then you need to visit www.wayofthemaster.com or www.livingwaters.com or www.wayofthemasterradio.com.

If you've followed this blog for very long, then you have seen the posts about the one day evangelism crash course that we held two weekends in a row in Oct. If not, here is the link to that post: http://streetadventures.blogspot.com/2008/10/double-crash-course-double-blessing.html

I want to post here some resources for anyone who may want to lead a crash course in your home or at your church. The following documents are in PDF format. The first one is a participant's guide that can be freely reproduced. The second is a leader's guide for the Way of the Master Crash Course, but it is also so much more than that. A friend of mine, Linda Essary has written this manual and it is also a guide as to how to build an evangelism team in your community. There is so much priceless information from an experienced trainer. Linda has trained up over 150o evangelists in the past 4 years using these resources, and I want wanted to make them available to you.

So without further adieu here is the link for the web page that will give you the links for the two resources for download:

www. calvarybcc.com/WOTM_crashpage.html

I hope that you are as blessed by this material and leading a class as I have been.

Off Topic - Way off

My son Isaac and I got to go deer hunting in the N. Kaibab last weekend and my son got to take his first deer.

I did manage to get some tracts out to the gas station attendants on the way to and from the hunt, but failed miserably while out on the hunt. The deer just wouldn't stick around for any open air preaching and every time I tried to hand out tracts, they just made tracks. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. Any suggestions? LOL

Here is a picture from the hunt. We went with a friend and his two boys, (George and his boys Mike and Joey) all three kids were successful in harvesting their deer. Thank you God.

New Evangelism Encouragement Technique

Just wanted to share this video with you, as we are incorporating this new technique of evangelism training into our church after having a great turn out at the Crash Courses in October. Now, going into the holidays it may be easy for saints to get caught up in the business of the world and neglect to go out of their way to preach the Gospel.

We expect this new encouraging technique to be highly effective and are looking forward to seeing the results.

McCain Rally (Monday) before election day

Thousands of people

We were not prepared for the evening. That is an understatement. A small group of friends had decided that with Senator McCain coming to Prescott to speak last Monday evening it would be a great opportunity to hand out tracts and witness to people. Wow! We had such a great time sharing Christ with people.

The city had gated off the courthouse square, and people were lining up to proceed through the one entrance. The lines of people went both directions around the entire block, and then wrapped back on itself more than once. There were literally thousands of people standing in the closed streets for hours waiting to get into the grounds with hopes of seeing the then presidential candidate.

Tracting

We had great success in handing out Million Dollar Bills, Giant Money, and One Shrinking Dollar tracts as well as others. We even met up with some believers from a baptist church in Chino Valley who were down there for the same reason. It was good to be encouraged by brothers in the Lord.

God & Country interviews

I had brought the church video camera, and we were able to get several interviews on tape. I was basically starting in the natural, asking questions about what people thought of our country, and its relationship to God, then swinging to the spiritual by asking if they thought that the USA is a morally good country and finally getting a little more personal by asking if they considered themselves to be good people.

I have included the video for you here. It is a little long, but I didn't want to leave out any of the important parts, and I wanted you to get the feel of the interview without chopping it up too much. I also wanted to include the questions in starting in the natural for anyone who may want to try this technique themselves.

I found it to be a great way to get people to open up, although I'll admit it does take a substantial amount of time to swing to the spiritual and get down to business.

Please let me know what you think. I am always critiquing myself to judge how I can better present the Law and the Gospel and better communicate to the lost.

Jungle Jeff on the Courthouse Square

Apology

I must apologize to you all for not posting sooner on these last few evangelism encounter. My kids are much faster at posting so I'll plug their blogs which are: http://i-mansarchives.blogspot.com and http://kiahsonlineodyssey.blogspot.com/.

Jungle Jeff

Well, after our great opportunities in BCC on Halloween, we went the very next day (Sat.) to Prescott to the court house lawn to see what the atmosphere was like up there and if there were people milling around that we could engage in conversation about eternity.

Among other folks who we did get to witness to, Jungle Jeff sticks out. He is a homeless man who had been drinking but was able to communicate. He had 2 outstanding DUI warrants but refused to turn himself in, and preferred to spend the nights on the street in Prescott.

As I opened God's Holy law to this man, even through the effects of the alcohol his conscience was pricked. He began to weep as I explained that he had broken the law of a most Holy God.

In the end, Jeff would not repent this day, but I pray that the truth that we shared with him would stick with him and that he would break before God before it is too late.

We were on the square with my brother-in-law Tim and his wife Kristen, and some friends Lee and Renee and our families. Lee and Tim were also both able to share with Jeff. Please Father, open the eyes of Jungle Jeff.

Wicked Night, Hallowed Night!

Okay, I have kids, and I liked the INCREDIBLES!

Just wanted to give a brief (LOL) account of tonight's evangelism encounters. This was the 1st year that I have used the Halloween night as an opportunity to evangelize. I know, shame on me!

My wife and kids went with me to our main street where all the trick-r-treaters hit the main businesses, and we set up a table on the corner.

We followed many of Rob-roy's ideas and bought the biggest candy bars we could find. I also loved an idea from Linda Essary which was to give out smaller candy to the little kids and anyone who wanted it... but for the big candy, to have older kids and adults pass a simple test. Yep, you guessed it, no small talk about hell, or life after death, we just plunged into the GP test from the get go, and no one even flinched.

Well, my wife reminds me of one mom who had her own ideas of sin, hell and judgment, and insisted that all kids are innocent. I don't know what planet she lives on, but she was the only one who walked away and refused to listen to the Gospel.

Adrianna

We had several good conversations. One with a young lady named Adrianna who kept looking more and more convicted as the Law and her conscience did their work. She was visibly upset, and concerned, and expressed that she had never heard the Gospel expressed like that before. Her family had already moved on, and she stayed to hear the Good News and I pray that she repents, and trust Jesus tonight.

Paul

Another young man about 15yrs old named Paul, was also moved in conviction. Although he said in answer to the question "when are you going to do something about your situation?", "SOON" I think he saw the seriousness of his sin.

Paramedics

Was also able to go through the whole L&G with 2 paramedics while seated in their ambulence who both claimed to be Christians. Was able to give them HBKS CD's as well.

Overall, had a great night and was able to give the Gospel to probably 10-12 groups of people in a couple hours. I was blessed and excited to go out.

I sense God really pushing me to plead with people and to let them see His love and the urgency of their situation. It is such a privilege to be able to share Christ, isn't it?

Prescott Tomorrow

Heading to Prescott tomorrow for witnessing at the Court House. Excited to have 2 opportunities in 2 days. Lead on O King Eternal!

Praise God

Double Crash Course a Double Blessing

I apologize for not posting sooner. My kids are better at getting their adventures up faster than I am.

I'll make this brief, but I want to tell you about the incredible move of God over this past 2 weeks.

We have held 2 Way of the Master crash courses at our church this last 2 weekends. I was blown away the first weekend when over 30 people showed up for the class and over 20 headed for the streets.

This past weekend was no less a success, we had almost 50 people show up for the class and over 30 head to the streets.

I don't know if you realize it or not, but for a small church in a rural town with scarcely 100 adults in attendance on a Sunday to have 80 plus people show up for an evangelism class and over 50 of them head for the streets is just a little beyond incredible. I am so excited at God's might hand.

Thank you to all the participants and budding evangelists who overcame their fears and stepped out in obedience and faith to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you also to all the leaders who gave of their time and drove... some 80 miles one way to participate.

I am so honored to serve our King with such awesome examples of the love of Christ.

It is my prayer now, that many if not all of these saints will take the next step and make evangelism a life style that can't be denounced or denied, and that the contagious fire that has begun will not be quenched.

I promised better pictures.. and alas, I am going to have to let you down.

I have none.

I must get a team photographer and videographer as I am way to enthralled with sharing my faith to even think of archiving it once I get onto the street.

Please pray for God's continued hand of favor on our "team" and for a regular fishing spot that is closer to home than 60 miles one way.

Crash Course Photo Blog

I promised I'd share some pics with you from last week's Way of the Master Evangelism Crash Course.

These brave souls gave up an entire Saturday to come out and learn biblical principals of how to more effectively share the good news with the people they come into contact with every day.

Praise God for them.

As you can see, the pictures from Mill Ave. didn't come out very well. The first one is a picture of the street kid, "ghost" who we spent quite a bit of time trying to reason with.

The second picture is my son Isaac heading down the street with the MDB's and a zeal for the lost like I haven't seen in a kid I'm not sure ever.

I'm so blessed to see what God is doing in my kids. Please keep them in your prayers.

Mill Ave. Oct 18th 2008

Two Encounters worthy of mention

I will post some pictures of the people who attended the crash course later today.

I unfortunately didn't get any good pictures from Mill Ave. (my bad) but I will try and do that next week.

My family and I (my wife Martha, my daughter Kiah, and my son Isaac) all went out together to hand out tracts and see if we could strike up conversations with people.

We spent a long while talking with a very polite and intellegent street kid who went by the street name "ghost". While he had some pretty all inclusive beliefs, and didn't see the bible as authoritative, we were still able to take him through the Law and the Gospel and to warn him of his impending doom, should he choose to stay in rebellion against God.

We then had a great conversation with a woman named Deidra, and her friend Lexis. Deidra was a professing believer, but Lexis in her words, "needed some work". We were able to give the truth of God's Word to Lexis also, and the conviction on his face was evident. He was honest, and admitted that he was headed for hell, and didn't see anything stopping him from repenting and getting right with God that night. Praise God for his mercy toward us and opening of the eyes of our heart to see our real plight.

Many of the 19 other new people that we had brought to Mill Ave. were engaged in one on one witnessing, and handing out tracts. My friend Larry even shared with us that he enjoyed every minute of arguing with the athiests!

Way of the Master Multiplication

Saturday Crash course Success

We held our first Way of the Master Crash Course Evangelism training yesterday. God blessed us with over 30 participants, and more than 20 of us including leaders who went to Mill Ave. last night to put into practice the principals we studied in the course.

Too many blessings to enumerate at this time, but suffice it to say that all who attended and went to Mill were jazzed beyond belief and want to go again.

I believe that we have the start of a new evangelism team.

Next weekend, we will hold the 2nd crash course and head to Mill again to see what God will do.

I'll try and compile some of the on the street encounters and post this week so you can be encouraged.

Till then,

Keep on FISHIN'

Two Fearful Servants

Our hearts were pounding!

Donna and Lorie wanted to spend some time together. Instead of going for a manicure or meeting for lunch, they decided to go witnessing at the local park last night! The following is the short story of God's blessing on their obedience to follow the great commission Mark 16:15.

God is so good! Well here we go. Our hearts are pounding, but here we go. We started to approach 3 teenage girls which quickly turns to 5 teenagers, which soon turns into a crowd of maybe 12-15 teens. We show them a million dollar bill and offer it to them as a gift. They were so thrilled to have it and some wanted to know if they could spend it. Ha!

The Law

So, we went through the law of the ten commandments with them, and many if not all raised there hands to say yes I have lied, stolen things, and taken the Lords name in vain. As the reality set in that they were not a good person as they thought they were before we started, many were listening to every word. When we asked them if it was judgment day and they were being judged on these commandments that they broke would they be guilty or innocent. They knew they were guilty and would go to hell.

One girl said, "But I don't want to go to hell". We were then able to share about God's gift of salvation, and what He did on the cross so they wouldn't have to go to hell. Explaining that salvation is a gift like the million dollar bill. They had a choice to receive or reject our gift, and that Jesus will not force us to receive Him either.

What if I don't believe?

One person asked "what if I'm not sure if I believe in God cause He has never done anything to help me"? We explained that even if you don't believe, that doesn't change the truth and the reality of Jesus Christ. Just like jumping out of a 2 story building; even if you don't believe in gravity the truth is you will go splat.

Some teens were wandering in & out, but many were still very focused on all that was being discussed. We asked if any wanted to pray and receive Christ into their hearts. I heard one say "I want to pray", there may have been more, God knows. So we prayed with them.

They were glad that we stopped to share with them, and we were so glad ourselves that we got to share Christ with them.

You won't know unless you go!

I think I stole that from Ivan Vansomebody from a Christian Surfing TV show.

Anyway, I am encouraging all you wanna be evangelists out there, that if Donna and Lorie can get out and share Christ with lost teenagers, then you can get out in your world, where ever that may be and open your mouth. Just pray for God to fill it and give you words of knowledge and or truth salted with compassion for the lost and dying souls you will be speaking to.

Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 NASB

Feeling Stale Led to Visit to Local Bar (Javelina Crossing)

Feeling a little Stale

I decided to be rebellious on the way home tonight.

I had only handed out 2 tracts this morning at the post office and was feeling a little stale. So, I stopped at the Javalina Crossing, which is the only bar in town. It is Friday night, so the tiny parking lot was packed. That is about 7 cars or so.

I was able to hit every patron and the bar maid with a MDB, about 12 people in all. Had to go the back room to hand out the last 6 or so as they had a serious poker game going. It was weird, everyone was so thankful. I didn't really plan on witnessing, but just wanted to see the reaction, and to get tracts into the hands of people that probably won't be coming through the doors of our church any time soon.

More than a tract adventure

As I was turning to leave, there was a man coming out of the bathroom, and I handed him a MDB as well. He looked a little familiar, and said that I had already given him one. Sure enough he had come to the church a week or two ago for a food box, and I gave him one then. I asked him if he had read it and he said not really. He was glazed but not drunk so I figured, why not? I shared the Law and Gospel with him at the end of the bar.

He knew he was going to hell, but didn't really seem concerned. When he insisted that dogs were people too and would be in heaven, I wrapped it up and left him with his conscience. He also had a problem with Jesus being God, which isn't surprising. Trying to reason scripture with a buzzed guy in a bar probably isn't the smartest thing I've done today, but it was a challenge, and they're people too.

Pray for Bob if you think of me. I'll probably run into him again, as we live in a pretty small town.

Three Tract Per Day Challenge (update)

I think that I posted about this a week or two ago, hence the (update), but if I didn't it is all the same I'll explain the challenge.

We Christians are a strange breed. We claim to believe something that is earth shattering, and we walk around most days like we are biding our time waiting to die like the rest of the lost world.

What on earth is wrong with us? I say this to my own shame.

The Challenge

Well, here is the challenge to make your life count. Is this the only way? Of course not. But, I have been so excited since trying to make sharing the Gospel a lifestyle, and challenging myself daily.

I challenge you to hand out 3 Gospel tracts per day.... everyday.

You might be thinking... oh that sounds easy. Let me tell you that it is not.

Now if you're like my brother in Florida, (Craig) and you work in a huge office building where you rub shoulders with many many people every day, and many of them you've never met before, you may find it easy. However, most of us have to go out of our way to hand out tracts or talk to people about the Lord, and it is a challenge in more ways than one.

I have had some great encounters in the last weeks since taking the challenge, and I hope that you will too.

Post a comment here if you are up for the challenge. Let me know how you are doing. Remember even when all we do is hand someone a tract, the Gospel is going out and we should always be praying for God's result and that the seed planted will grow and produce fruit.

Who's with me?

A Call to Repentance

The following video is one that I have been anxiously trying to get edited and uploaded for you ever since my return from the Ambassador's Academy this past July.

This video was filmed at our home church Calvary Black Canyon City, on Sunday morning August 3rd a week after my return. It is the telling of a changed life so immensely impacted by God's Word and obedience to it that I cannot describe to you, but only ask that you watch it and see for yourself.

I realize that a video of over an hour's length is not going to be watched by too many in it's entirety, and that is okay. It is my hope that anyone who needs to hear the message and call to repentance that is communicated in this post will be led by God to do so.

I can only say to my Savior how grateful I am for the wake up call, and his enduring forbearance with me an unworthy sinner.

As always, please leave a comment and let me know what you think, good or bad.

Nick & Buds in the Breezeway

What Was I Thinking?

I naively thought that the last place on earth I would be handing out tracts would be in our own church breezeway. I don't know why that thought had never occurred to me before, but today it did.

Pardise on Earth

A gal from our church who lives in a nearby town has teenage boys. This nearby town is man's plan of paradase. This is a planned community, targeted at families with all the amenities that a modern unit of individuals living under the same roof could ask for. (You do realize that the FAMILY is the next creation of God that our nation has embraced since it's inception that will be redefined after our courts get done with the institution of marriage.) Among these amenities are a state of the art community center with a huge water park, basketball court, rock climbing wall, all the latest exercise equipment, children's play area with safe jungle gyms (do the even use that word anymore) that reach to the sky with more slides, stairs, ropes, bridges, etc than an adolescent could dream of, and even their own train.

The problem with any paradise on earth is the same problem that all communities on earth currently share. They are plagued with sinful human beings.

That brings me to Nick and his friends who came to our church today.

Satan's Plan (Run Baby Run)

Our high school group was scheduled to be in the main sanctuary with the adults today, and I went to the high school room to notify the students of this. Soon after giving out this news however, 5 of the same students were hoofing it down the street away from the church.

Anyway, not to drag this story out into oblivion, after I rounded up the kids and got them into service, God kept urging me during the sermon regarding the plight of these unsaved teens. Every point in the sermon, although not probably intended that way, kept my attention on the students and their obvious rebellion towards their parental authority and their lost state. I had to do something. You might be thinking and rightly so, "weren't they going to get the Gospel in the service?". The answer would be yes, however it was obvious by their closed eyes and elbow to knee stature during most of the service, that they were not listening intently, and were probably even completely asleep.

I determined not to miss an opportunity to share the Law and the Gospel with this group that I knew may never darken the door of a church again, and I was determined to do so before they made it off the property.

Hurting High School Kids from AZ hear the Gospel

So, as soon as the church service ended, I bolted for the door, as I knew they would be doing and caught them in the breezeway and gave three un-churched kids a million dollar bill tract from Living Waters Publications.

Nick was the talkative one, he is 16 and apparently has lived a really tough life. He told me that he has lived and provided for himself (by stealing before he was old enough to work) since as far back as he could remember.

Chris was a tall troubled looking young man, quiet, but pensive. You could tell he was really taking everything in, although he said nothing. The girl in the group was Haley, and she seemed somewhat engaged, but my focus really was on Nick.

As I shared with them, they all 3 admitted to failing the good person test, although were not visibly concerned with the idea of standing before God in their sins. Nick just kept saying that he didn't believe in God, and there was nothing I was going to do to convince him otherwise.

I Dare You!

I spoke to them the things of eternity for 20-25 minutes as church people milled around until I basically ran out of analogies and scripture to try and make the Gospel make sense to them. I ended the conversation with a dare from me to Nick to passionately pursue the truth. I invited him to come back for in depth conversations on evolution and other subjects that I touched on briefly in the discourse, but I really was trying to get him to commit to at least investigating the truth of the claims of the Bible to a greater extent than he had up to that point, which he admitted wasn't all that much.

At one point I did ask Chris if he was at the same place in his mind as Nick, of total unbelief, and he said that he was not. Praise God!

Although it would be easy to be discouraged at this witnessing encounter, I really am not. Nick and Chris and Bailey are in God's hands, and I did my very best to passionately explain the Gospel. I will be praying that God will soften their hearts and lead them to other encounters with Christians, even that they would show up back on our property where I will be obedient to share with them again. I hope that you will pray with me for their salvation.

Please Pray

Please leave me your comments on this post. I cherish your prayers and appreciate you reading this long post.

Post Office - Becoming Favorite Fishing Spot

My local Post Office is the one place I usually go every morning to check the PO boxes for the church and for our personal mail. Therefore, anyone who is at our small post office while I am there usually gets a tract at very least, and at best, a God ordained one 2 one Gospel presentation.

This morning was no exception, but was exceptional.

A man named Martin was the one who God had in store for me to meet this morning. Martin is originally from Ecuador where his father had moved from Chili before his birth. Martin is probably in his late 50's early 60's and someone you would probably enjoy talking to. He is outgoing and smiles a lot, and was very interested in his eternal destiny.

Martin thought of himself as a good person and was hoping that his good deeds would earn him a place in heaven, but also told me he has been involved in the LDS Church for a long time.

I hadn't really planned on taking much time this morning, as I was headed for work, but when I asked Martin what he thought happened after he died, I spent the next hour trying to convince him and let the Holy Spirit do His work in convicting his conscience that he was really headed for hell.

He listened intently, told me some sad stories of his life, and we shared some things we have in common, like the fact that we are both pilots.

Although Martin did not repent and turn to the Saviour on the spot, he did promise me that he would seriously consider the things we had talked about, and in addition to giving me his business card, he insisted on having my phone number and said that I shouldn't be surprised if I get a call with some other biblical questions.

I felt a little like Paul with King Agrippa in the book of Acts, where the King told Paul that he was almost convinced to become a Christian.

Please pray for Martin that his eyes will be opened to the truth and he will see his true sinful state before a Holy and Righteous Judge, God our Saviour.

Another Jr. High Testimony

Here is another Jr. High student from our church giving his testimony just a few weeks ago. All of these kids were so scared to begin with, but I am so excited that they didn't back down and decided to stand up for their Savior. Please pray that God uses them as they grow in their love and gratefulness to Jesus.

Bailey tells of his conversion to Christ

Bailey is a Jr. High homeschool student who attends our little church here in Black Canyon City, Arizona. He has 2 brothers and is not afraid to give you his opinion when it comes to his faith in Jesus Christ.

This video is a little hard to hear, so you may have to turn it up a notch. I apologize for that.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Good or bad.

Another Sr. High Schooler Testimony (Brendi Jo)

Brendi Jo is a Senior this year and it is my hope that she will sign up for the WOTM crash course in a few weeks. She has a natural boldness with people and could use it greatly for the Lord if she should so choose. Shameless plug for the Crash Course. See post below for Crash Course details.

C'mon Brendi, if you sign up, I know that Lisa will to!

Hannah Shares Her Conversion Story

Hannah is a friend of Kiah (my daughter) and their entire Jr. High class was encouraged to share their testimonies this month with their peers and some of the younger classes.

This was a great exercise for the older kids to influence in a godly way, the younger ones and at the same time work on putting their own conversion stories into a concise clear presentation.

Please leave a comment and let them know what you think!

More to come soon!

Posting Failure as well

Well,

A few days ago I posted about the 3 tracts per day challenge that a young woman had given us and as a family we have been so excited about. I was able to keep up with it for about a week, but I must confess that today I didn't hand out one single Gospel tract, or talk to any unsaved people about the Gospel.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming crash course however, and tomorrow is a new day.

Pro 24:16 For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again; But the wicked are overthrown by calamity.

I'm glad I'm clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, and that He is able to keep me from stumbling.

Kiah's Testimony

I am posting this again, because I figured out how to embed the video file instead of having to open another window. Please leave comments and let me know what you think. Kiah was brave. She is 13 years old and I am so proud of her.

My Daughter Kiah's Testimony

I am still trying to figure out how to embed a video in this blog that isn't from youtube.

When I get it figured out I'll do it. Until then you'll just have to click on the link to open a seperate page with the video. Oh well, you still get to see it.

More Jr. High Testimonies coming soon. Check back often, and don't forget to leave comments.
Just click on the link below for now to see the video!
Lord Bless you!

Karl

Three Tracts per day Challenge!

Among other things I am excited about that God is doing right now, is the 3 tract per day challenge.

A young 18 year old gal from North Dakota has challenged me and other evangelists to hand out at least 3 tracts a day. Seems simple, but I've already had my hands full.

With working in an office by myself, and some days having no contact with the outside world especially with non-christians, I am finding that I must go out of my way to meet the challenge.

This morning however I was able to hand out more than 3 before 8am. Two were on a run with my 11 year old son Isaac, and then some more on the way to work at the school bus stop.

Opportunities are all around us if we keep our eyes open.

You know how when you are looking to purchase a new car, or truck? All of the sudden, everyone on the road is driving that vehicle and you see it everywhere.

The only thing that really changed was your awareness - your perspective and sensitivity to that one particular vehicle.

It is the same with opportunities to share your faith. If you are looking for them - they are literally everywhere.

Be encouraged. You too can allow God to give you new vision to see evangelism opportunities right where you are.

Karl Borman

Karl Borman said, "This is what I want to do with the rest of my days that God has given me on this earth; to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world, that God will receive the glory due His name for his lovingkindness that endures forever to those who will call upon His name"

Exploring the Scene at Mill Ave. in Tempe

In Hind Sight

Oh, how I wish now that I would have had more presence of mind to ask my son Isaac (11) to turn on the video camera last night.

Isaac and I went down to Mill Avenue in Tempe for a late night witnessing opportunity and to scope out the scene for our planned fishing spot for the upcoming Way of the Master Crash Course that we will be offering at our church in Black Canyon City, Arizona. Oct. 18th & 25th 2008.

Mill Ave. is quite a drive for us, a 130 mile round trip, but it was worth it.

We met a handful of other street evangelists there, and got the lay of the land so to speak before heading out on our own to see what people God had planned for us to talk to. I won't bore you with the parking details, other than to say that it took us almost an hour to find a place to park and walk to the spot on Mill where our friends were set up with a table and tracts and Bibles. Our friends were handing out free water bottles with tracts as labels.

The Divine Appointments

Isaac and I first met a young man standing in front of a the Greek restaurant. I handed him a tract and asked him what he thought would happen after he dies. He wasn't really sure and said that he had a Catholic background. I was able to take him through the Law and the Gospel before we had to let him go.

We then had an interesting conversation with a muslim man. I think he told me he was 26 years old and he was with a young catholic girl. After telling me about Islam, and how it is a religion of peace I launched into the Law, and had him agreeing that there is none that is good including him, but I think now looking back that he was still self-righteous. I have to admit that speaking with him was the most difficult conversation of the night as I found it hard to keep coming back to the Law... he kept wanting to talk about the positive aspects of Islam (in his mind) and to show the things that Judaism and Christianity and Islam all have in common. We left him and he thanked us and promised me that although he did not own a Bible, that he would purchase one and read it from cover to cover. I hope he is a man of his word.

We then spoke with some pierced, lustful young college men, and a homeless guy asking for money, before the best part of the evening for me happened.

The Best Part

After walking a couple of blocks down to the big corner where the atheists were hashing it out with the street preachers microphones and amps and all, we were sort of listening to the banter, and handing out tracts to people as they would pass by.

Two middle ages ladies nicely dressed with roses cradled in their arms were about to pass us by, when I offered each of them a Million Dollar Bill tract. They stopped and were inquisitive as I explained that they were actually Gospel tracts, and that there was a million dollar question on the back. After finding out a little about each of them and what they thought about the afterlife, I was able to share with Angel and Christina the entire Law and Gospel for about 30-40 minutes.

While Angel was attentive through the whole conversation, it was Christina who was really visibly hit by the Word of God. She was on more than one occasion almost brought to tears. Both women have families and children and the analogies of giving up children to save others whether righteous or not really hit home... (hurt her heart) ... as Christina explained it.

As we wish would happen in every witnessing encounter, but sadly happens all too infrequently, Christina was really hit with the reality of her destiny and the inevitable fact that she was not right with God and would spend eternity in Hell if she were to die in that condition. She also saw and explained the bitterness that had taken root in her heart as a result of someone in her life mistreating her, and how it was keeping her up at night and her husband was noticing how it was affecting her visibly. She clearly wanted to be rid of the admitted hatred, but was honest in saying that it was consuming her.

I shared with her the Gospel and she seemed so grateful, and relieved to know that there was good news. How I wish everyone I had spoken with last night had had that reaction.

Anyway, to keep this short, she was repentant, and really wanted to find a church near her that she could go to. I gave her our church number and encouraged her to call me on Monday so I could get her hooked up with a good church near her.

Glory to The King

Thank you Jesus, for answering my prayer for bringing Christina and Angel who were 2 souls who were open to the gospel and ripe for the harvest, and thank you for allowing me to serve you my God and my King!

Be encouraged saints, our great God reigns.

More High School Conversion Stories to Come

There were 5 High School students who shared their testimonies with the younger classes last week at church, I am waiting for consent from the parents of the last 3 students before posting their videos.

Check back in a day or two and I should have the others posted. These kids are not street evangelists, but they are kids that were challenged to step out of their comfort zones and actually think about what they would say to someone in an organized way as a defense for why they call themselves a Christian.

Don't judge them too harshly or I may be asking you to let me video tape you in giving your conversion story.

Testimony of High School Video

Here is the post I promised. The videos are short but it is sweet to see our youth take a step in the direction of following Jesus.

Coming Soon or check out YOUTUBE

I will be posting some testimonies from some of the youth at our church. In an effort to have them get used to sharing their faith, the Sr. High group was encouraged to prepare and share their testimonies with some of the younger classes at church.

Five students were brave enough to participate, and although they didn't really articulate the Gospel, I thought for a 1st attempt they did amazingly well.

Two of the videos are already on my YOUTUBE channel, I'll be posting them all here soon.

Let me know what you think please.

Thanks!

Open air at 3D archery shoot in Arizona

I had to post something just to get started, so I'll share this video from about 2 weeks ago.

I had the opportunity to go to a 3D archery shoot in Clints Wells Arizona. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share the gospel with the crowd there as they ate in between rounds.

The following video is my first open-air preaching in my home state, and although I was scared so badly I couldn't finish my lunch, I was obedient, and I believe that God was glorified.

Please let me know what you think.
